Maruti Suzuki has announced an investment of INR 24,000 crore to build a new car production plant that will have an annual capacity of 10 lakh units. This state-of-the-art facility will be located outside of Haryana and will enable Maruti Suzuki to cater to the growing demand for its cars in India, as well as facilitate its expansion into international markets.

In addition to this, Maruti Suzuki is also setting up another 10-lakh annual production factory in Kharkhoda, Sonipat, with an investment of INR 18,000 crore. The company is bullish on its prospects in the Indian market and is looking to further enhance its presence through a strong focus on exports.

The planned location for the new facility boasts excellent port connectivity, which will enable Maruti Suzuki to easily fulfill its export commitments. The company is currently awaiting board approval for the investment, following which it will acquire the necessary land and commence groundwork in early 2024.
