Maruti Suzuki announced an estimated investment of 7,410 INR-Crore to set up a third plant at its Kharkhoda facility in Haryana. This expansion will add 2.5 lakh units to its annual production. By 2029, the Kharkhoda plant will have a total capacity of around 7.5 lakh vehicles per year.
Currently, the Kharkhoda plant manufactures 2.5 lakh vehicles annually. With the newly approved third plant, Maruti Suzuki will further strengthen its dominance as India’s leading passenger car manufacturer. This expansion aligns with Maruti Suzuki’s long-term vision to scale up production to 4 million units by 2031.

At present, the company operates with a total capacity of 2.6 million vehicles across its plants in Gurugram, Manesar, and Kharkhoda in Haryana, along with Hansalpur in Gujarat. With these upcoming projects, Maruti Suzuki will surpass its original target, ensuring a strong foothold in India’s automobile industry for years to come.
