The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has awarded a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) for Dongri Depot project, Mumbai Metro Line-9. The LoA was awarded to the joint venture of Rithwik Projects Pvt Ltd and Soma Enterprise. This upcoming depot will be a critical hub for the maintenance and servicing of metro cars, ensuring smooth and reliable operations for the new metro line.
The awarded contract is valued at 701.94 INR-Crore, while the contract package CA-207 involves extensive work at the Dongri site. This includes land development and constructing various infrastructures, such as a stabling yard, operation control center, and depot control center. The Dongri Depot construction is slated for completion within 52 months.

Additionally, the project includes building an administrative office, maintenance and inspection buildings, an auxiliary substation, roads, underground utility ducts, drainage systems, and rainwater harvesting systems. It also covers architectural finishing, plumbing, and pre-engineered building (PEB) works.
