The Mohali Municipal Corporation plans to transform Mohali Airport Road into a freeway to ease traffic congestion. The project will involve constructing six flyovers along the 14Km stretch from Kharar to the airport crossing.
To improve traffic flow on internal roads, the Mohali Municipal Corporation will build roundabouts at key intersections. Emphasizing the need for flyovers, they stated the necessity for smooth transit between Kharar and Airport Chowk. They will construct these flyovers out of 13 traffic intersections. The project will be implemented in phases, with a primary focus on constructing the flyovers.
