On Friday, July, 19, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) signed an MoU with the Urban Development Department, the Rajasthan Government, and the Civil Aviation Department to develop a greenfield airport in Kota, Rajasthan.
The Kota Greenfield Airport will span an anticipated 440.086 Hectares of land. It will showcase state-of-the-art air facilities and is expected to be operational within two years of commencement. As of now, AAI is preparing a Detailed Project Report (DPR).

The upcoming Kota Greenfield Airport will place the city on the Indian Aviation Map, enhancing connectivity and regional growth. The Rajasthan Government will provide land for the airport, whereas AAI will handle construction, development, and operation. The construction will not only boost tourism but also enhance educational and commercial activities.
