MP’s Benazir Palace will soon be converted into a Heritage Hotel

The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board (MPTB) has decided to convert the historic Heritage Building Benazir Palace situated in Bhopal into a Heritage Hotel as part of its efforts to enhance tourism.

The project would be executed on Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer basis and through Private Sector Participation (PSP).

Request for Proposal (RFP) has been floated by the authority for carrying out the bidding process for the selection of a private developer to whom the Project may be awarded.

The department has also created a heritage property bank by taking possession of Keoti Fort in Rewa, Royal hotel in Jabalpur, Vijayaraghavgarh Fort in Katni, Sheopur Fort, Narwar Fort in Shivpuri, Lunera ka Sarayi of Mandu, Sabalgarh Fort in Morena and the Baldevgarh Fort in Tikamgarh.

With the increase in the number of tourists visiting the state, the commencement of heritage hotels will play a significant role in encouraging tourism further in Madhya Pradesh .
