NHAI invites tenders for northern stretch of regional ring road

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has moved forward with the construction of the Regional Ring Road (RRR) by inviting tenders for the northern section, stretching from Sangareddy to Choutuppal. The estimated cost for this project is 5,554.02 INR-Crore.

The northern section of the Ring Road will span approximately 161.5 Km. It will be a four-lane, access-controlled greenfield regional expressway. Additionally, NHAI will carry out the project under the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) model.

The project will be executed in five packages:

  • Package 1: Girmapur to Reddipalle (34.5 Km) – 1,529.19 INR-Crore
  • Package 2: Reddipalle to Islampur (26 Km) – 1,114.8 INR-Crore
  • Package 3: Islampur to Pragnapur (23 Km) – 1,184.81 INR-Crore
  • Package 4: Pragnapur to Rayagiri (43 Km) – 1,728.22 INR-Crore
  • Package 5: Rayagiri to Tangadpalle (35 Km) – 1,547 INR-Crore

The authority has set a completion deadline of two years, with a maintenance period lasting five years. The final date for submission of financial and technical bids is February 14, with bid openings scheduled for February 17. Furthermore, the ring road project by NHAI is set to boost infrastructure and connectivity in the region, making it a crucial milestone in India’s construction landscape.
