Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has approved two major highway projects worth an estimated 1,155.86 INR-Crore. These initiatives aim to upgrade road infrastructure and boost economic growth across Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
The first project involves an estimated investment of 252.42 INR-Crore in Andhra Pradesh to develop a six-lane elevated corridor at Ranasthalam, Srikakulam. It will ease traffic congestion, enhance safety, and improve urban mobility. This upgrade is also set to unlock new socio-economic opportunities, fostering growth in the region.

Meanwhile, the second project focuses on the Gyaraspur to Rahatgarh section of NH-146 in Madhya Pradesh, worth an estimated 903.44 INR-Crore. It will strengthen the Bhopal-Kanpur corridor, improving trade, commerce, and regional connectivity. Additionally, this development will stimulate economic activities and uplift the quality of life for local residents.
