PepsiCo India, on Tuesday, April 2, announced setting up its second flavor manufacturing facility in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh at an estimated investment of INR 1,266 Crore. The construction for the upcoming facility sprawling over an anticipated 22 Acres is expected to start soon.
The state-of-the-art facility will ensure efficient water usage and replenishment. It will incorporate zero liquid discharge technology to achieve an estimated 90% water efficiency. Additionally, it will operate entirely on renewable energy sources, to reduce carbon footprint by 1.9 metric tonnes per day. The project is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2026.

The upcoming flavour manufacturing facility would be Pepsico’s second such establishment in India, with the first located in Channo, Punjab. The new unit will boost beverage production to meet increasing consumer demand. It reinforces PepsiCo’s commitment to providing top-notch beverages to consumers as well as its responsibility to drive sustainable practices across all its operations, said George Kovoor, senior vice-president, beverages, at PepsiCo India.
