Prayagraj’s second Industrial Corridor set to come up at Soraon

The Uttar Pradesh Government is ready to set up the second industrial corridor at Prayagraj in the trans-Ganga region of Soraon. The proposed corridor is being developed to revive industries in Prayagraj’s Naini Industrial area. 

The state government is developing this second industrial corridor on behalf of the Uttar Pradesh Expressway Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA). It has identified three villages – Malak Chatiru, Judapur Dandu, and Bari Sarai Lal, adjacent to the Ganga Expressway for this project. The survey work has already started and a road map is being prepared. The officials have also assessed the land availability from the state government and farmers during this survey.

Apart from this, the Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) have also undertaken a survey of the Shankargarh region to develop it as an industrial hub. Ashish Nath, UPSIDA Regional Manager, stated that the work for setting up industries will begin in the upcoming 4-5 months.
