Shamuka Beach Project at Odisha

The Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC) Limited, Government of Odisha decided to develop the Shamuka Beach Area which is near Sipasarubali Village of Puri District in Odisha.

The proposed project is spread over an area of 920 acres with a built-up area of 9 million sqft. A total of 300 Residential Units, 650 Villas & 13 Luxury Hotels has been proposed. In order to create a steady but sustainable growth, Shamuka would be developed in three distinct phases.

The possible set of tourism products for the development at Shamuka Beach would include 4/5 Star Hotels, Resorts, Spas, Exhibition Complex, Eco Parks, Odisha Haat, Museum Complex Public Park (both by State Government) and residences.

On July 2019, tenders were invited for the selection of Architectural & Urban Planning firms for the preparation of revised master plan for the Shamuka Beach Project.
