The Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation Limited (TIDCO), a government agency for industrial development, is planning to develop six thematic industrial parks to support the state’s micro, small, and medium-sized businesses (MSMEs).

Thematic Industrial Parks For MSMEs:

Highlighting the key projects of the State Government, B. Krishnamoorthy, Additional Secretary and Project Director, TIDCO said that the Government will develop six parks – two in Chennai, three in Coimbatore, and one space park at Kulasekarapattinam in Thoothukudi.

Currently, the State Government owns about 35,000 acres of land through the State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu Limited.

Additionally, the Government is looking at acquiring about 10,000 acres over the next five years to create the six thematic industrial parks.

Since these thematic industrial parks will act as a plug-and-play ecosystem, the businesses planning to construct or establish new facilities relevant to the aerospace and defense industry will profit from having access to them.
