French-American energy major, TechnipFMC, has announced plans to establish a software delivery and capability center, along with a precision manufacturing facility, in Hyderabad, making the city a significant global hub. The proposed facilities, with an investment of over 1250 INR-Crore ($150 million), will create approximately 4,500 job opportunities. Telangana’s IT & Industries Minister, KT Rama Rao, shared this news after meeting with senior TechnipFMC executives, including Anders Dahl, Senior VP One Engineering, and Housila Tiwari, Managing Director and Country Head for India.
The initial phase of the project is estimated to have an export value of 5500 INR-Crore ($650 million). The IT and engineering delivery centre, covering an area of 2.5 Lakh-SqFt, will generate about 3,500 jobs, while the state-of-the-art precision engineering manufacturing facility, spanning 1.5 Lakh-SqFt, will create nearly 1,000 jobs.
The company focuses strategically on greenhouse gas removal, floating offshore renewables, and hydrogen initiatives.
