Project Overview and Scope of Work:
The Khandwa Lift Micro Irrigation Project aims to enhance agricultural productivity by providing a reliable as well as efficient irrigation system. The project entails constructing and maintaining a pressurized piped irrigation network to deliver water through drip or sprinkler systems. It is further designed to supply water at a duty of 0.35 Liters/Second/Ha. The system will cover a cultivable command area of 53,330 Ha and a gross command area of 67,941 Ha.
Furthermore, it will be designed with a residual head of at least 23 M at the highest point of each 2.5 Ha chak, ensuring reliable water delivery. Meanwhile, it is estimated to require a total power of 41.28 MW.

Duration and Recent updates:
With a construction cost of 1,545 INR-Crore, the Khandwa Lift Micro Irrigation Project is set to complete within 72 months. Furthermore, NVDA has appointed Laxmi Civil Engineering Services Pvt Ltd as the general turnkey contractor for the same.
As of November 2024, the project is in its initial stages, with site setup and preliminary work ongoing.

2. NVDA Lift Micro Irrigation Project, Dhar
Construction Cost: 1,448 INR-Crore
Project Overview and Scope of Work:
This mega Project focuses on the construction as well as maintenance of a piped irrigation system delivering water through drip irrigation or sprinklers to farmers’ fields. Post completion, it will cover a culturable command area of 50,000 Ha within a gross command area of 74,634 Ha.
The project scope includes:
- Irrigation System Construction: Development of a pressurized pipeline system for micro irrigation, ensuring water delivery at a duty rate of 0.32 Liters/Second/Ha up to the center of each 5 Ha chak.
- Water Delivery and Efficiency: Ensuring a residual head of at least 23 M at the highest point of each 5 Ha chak for effective water distribution. Moreover, the project’s total power requirement is 92.73 MW.

Project Overview and Scope:
The Sondwa Lift Micro Irrigation Project focuses on delivering efficient and reliable irrigation through a piped network designed for micro irrigation systems. This project further aims to cover a culturable command area of 50,000 Ha within a gross command area of 84,483 Ha.
Key features of the project include:
- Irrigation System Design: A duty of 0.35 Liters/Second/Ha across 30 Ha chaks, with reduced duties as the network scales down to smaller chaks. The system will also maintain a residual head of at least 23 M at the highest point of each 5 Ha chak.
- Pressure and Discharge Specifications: The system will provide a minimum pressure of 2.3 Kg/Cm² at each 5 Ha outlet. It will further ensure consistent water supply to farmers.
With an estimated construction cost of 1,435 INR-Crore, the project requires a total power capacity of 70.86 MW to operate efficiently.

This project will utilize a pressurized pipeline system to deliver water to farmers’ fields through micro irrigation methods, such as drip and sprinkler systems. This system is designed to cover a culturable command area of 40,135 Ha within a gross command area of 60,053 Ha.
Key features include:
- Irrigation System Design: The system will operate with a duty of 0.32 Liters/Second/Ha across 30 Ha chaks, reducing to 5 Ha chaks with a 10-fold duty increase. Additionally, it will maintain a minimum residual head of 23 M at the highest point of each 5 Ha chak.
- Pressure and Discharge Requirements: The project will ensure a minimum pressure of 2.3 Kg/Cm² at every 5 Ha outlet.
The Sendhwa Lift Micro Irrigation Project is estimated at 1,164 INR-Crore. Meanwhile, the system will require a total power capacity of 73.164 MW. This will ensure continuous water delivery as needed throughout the year.

For each of the lift micro irrigation projects, the scope of work includes completing surveys, investigations, and preparing detailed designs and drawings. It also entails securing the necessary approvals, and procurement of materials and services. Additionally, the scope extends to constructing pump houses, rising and gravity mains, branch lines, distribution networks, and SCADA automation for systems.
Moreover, these upcoming projects will include O&M activities for 60 months post-completion, with an option for a further 60-month extension.
