TruAlt Bioenergy, one of the largest biofuel companies in Asia, is planning to invest an estimated INR 600 Crore across multiple projects to expand its biofuel capacity by 2.7 Lakh Tonnes per day by FY2025. The Bangalore-based biofuel producer expects 30% revenue growth through these projects.
TruAlt will set up 10 plants in Karnataka and Pune under this project, taking its total number of plants to 15. The company has already identified land for the projects, which are anticipated to be commissioned by FY2025, said Vijay Nirani, founder and managing director of TruAlt Bioenergy.

Moreover, the company recently entered into a joint venture with national gas major GAIL India for setting up 10 plants worth an aggregate investment of USD 72 Million. These plants will produce nearly 33 Mn-Kg compressed biogas using organic waste as raw material. Each plant will process nearly 10,000Kg of organic waste daily, producing 1,00,000Kg of compressed biogas.
