GURGAON: The state government is planning to build a 9 km long road to enhance connectivity between AIIMS’ National Cancer Institute in Bhadsa, Jhajjar, and the Dwarka Expressway. The road is expected to be six lanes wide, and the Public Works Department (PWD) is in the planning stages of land acquisition, targeting approximately 102.3 acres of land spanning six villages in Gurgaon and Jhajjar. This road will connect to the expressway via sector 102, and will also facilitate access to Delhi and the IGI airport through the expressway.

For the project, the state government plans to acquire approximately 98.6 acres of private land and 3.7 acres of panchayat land. As of now, consent has been obtained from farmers for the acquisition of 78.2 acres, which accounts for roughly 76.4% of the total land needed.
The land acquisition will encompass areas in Kherki Majra (17.5 acres), Dhankot (13.4 acres), Budhera (24 acres), Makrola (35.6 acres), Iqbalpur (6.6 acres), and Bhadsa (5 acres).
The estimated project cost is around INR 272 Crore, with INR 206.8 Crore earmarked for land acquisition and INR 65.3 Crore allocated for road construction.
