Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) announced on Monday, December 11, that the company, in collaboration with URC Construction Pvt Ltd, has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for a project under the Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (MPMRCL). The estimated cost for the proposed 33.53 km Indore Metro project is estimated to be 543 INR crore.
Phase 1 of the Indore Metro project (package IN-04) involves – part design and construction of the elevated viaduct, five elevated metro rail stations, and a ramp for the Indore Metro Rail Project. The elevated metro rail stations will connect Shaheed Bagh and Palasia Chauraha via Khajrana Chauraha, Bengali Chauraha, and Patrakar Colony.

Indore Metro’s Yellow Line will eventually form a ring line connecting Palasia – Railway Station – Rajwara Airport – Bhawarsala via 30 elevated & underground stations. The anticipated completion period for this project is 1092 days (3 years).
