This project envisages the development of the Integrated Directorate Complex by the Public Works (Building & NH) Department (PWD), Assam, at Betkuchi in Guwahati.
Overview of the Project:
The Public Works (Building & NH) Department (PWD), Assam, has undertaken the development of an Integrated Directorate Complex in Betkuchi, Guwahati. The facility will be developed at an estimated cost of 743 INR Crore, aiming to house the state directorates in a single complex. It will be under GAD (General Administration Department) and funded by AIFA (Assam Infrastructure Financing Authority).
The upcoming facility will involve the construction of twin towers housing various directorate offices over approximately 12.12 acres of land parcel. It will also include – an auditorium hall (accommodating nearly 1500 people), a facility block, an open plaza, barracks/ dormitory for security personnel, and parking areas, among others.
ARK Reza Kabul Architects serves as the design architect, whereas Water and Power Consultancy Services (WAPCOS) Limited is the PMC consultant for this venture. NCC Limited has been appointed as the Civil Works Contractor.
Recent Updates:
As of December 2023, the facility is in the initial stage of construction, with excavation work in progress. It is anticipated to be completed within 48 months.
