New multi-speciality hospital to come up at NMPA by September 2026

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Wednesday, February 28, introduced three projects for the New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA). Among these includes the construction of the state-of-the-art multispecialty hospital in the state worth an estimated investment of INR 107 Crore.

The multispecialty hospital will be developed near the existing hospital and is scheduled to be operational by September 2026. It will be constructed on a PPP (Public-Private Partnership) Mode and include three modular operation theaters, a cath lab, and specialty services such as nephrology, neurology, and cardiology along with pathology, pharmacy, and ambulance services.

Additionally, the Prime Minister introduced the development of two state-of-the-art storage sheds worth an estimated INR 23.78 Crore in the state. The projects will be developed over an anticipated 3,500 SqM of land parcel and have a combined capacity of 7,00 Tonnes. These are expected to give a boost to handling vital export-import cargo.
