CIDCO invites tenders for Kharghar-Belapur Coastal Road Project

The City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) commenced the process of designing and constructing the Kharghar Coastal Road (KCR). This road will connect Jalmarg Sector 16 in Kharghar to Belapur. 

The Kharghar Coastal Road project spans approximately 9.679 Km, of which 2.986 Km is part of an existing road. The new road will feature stilt construction and ground-level reclamation, providing better connectivity between key points in Navi Mumbai. The road will stretch from Jalmarg Sector 16 in Kharghar to the PMAY Housing Scheme near Kharghar railway station. It will then extend to the underpass near Delhi Public School (DPS) in Nerul. Further, it will link Kharghar station to Belapur, running parallel to the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA).

The Kharghar Coastal Road project will be completed within 30 months. Furthermore, this venture is aimed at improving access to NMIA. An expected 913-day timeline is set, with 90 days assigned to design and approvals, and 823 days to construction and handover.
