CtrlS Datacenters to set up two data centres in Chennai worth INR 4,000 Crore

CtrlS Datacenters Ltd, on Wednesday, February 28, announced setting up two data center parks in Chennai with an estimated investment of INR 4,000 Crore. The projects are currently in the advanced stages of completion and are expected to generate 500 direct and 9000 indirect job opportunities.

The upcoming data center parks will be developed in the Ambattur industrial area over an anticipated 1 Mn SqFt of land parcel. They would have a combined IT load capacity of 72 MW. Data Center Building 1, Chennai DC 1, is fully booked and scheduled to be operational in Q2 of FY2024. Data Center Building 2, Chennai DC 2, will have ground and 10 upper floors with an IT load capacity of 27 MW. It is expected to be launched in the second half of 2024.

The upcoming data center complex will be the fifth hyper-scale DC complex by CtrlS Datacenters in India in addition to the company’s existing data centers in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Noida, and Bangalore.
