Inox Wind to execute India’s single largest wind project order of 1,500 MW from CESC

Renewable energy giant INOX Wind, on Thursday, February 08, announced the signing of a binding framework agreement with Power Utility CESC Limited, a flagship company of RP Sanjiv Goenka Group (RPSG), to install 1500 MW of wind capacity over the next 3-4 years. This will mark the country’s single largest wind order by any wind OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer).

The scope of work includes end-to-end turnkey execution of 1000 MW and equipment supply with limited scope EPC for 500 MW wind capacity. INOX will install its latest DF/3000/145 wind turbine generators each, having a capacity of 3.3MW for this project. INOX Green, the subsidiary of INOX Wind, will provide post-commissioning multi-year operations and maintenance services for the same.

INOX Wind currently has an aggregate manufacturing capacity of 1,600 MW across three state-of-the-art manufacturing plants in Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh. The upcoming project for CESC will add to INOX’s portfolio towards delivering gigawatt-plus scale annual execution over the next few years.
