The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) floated tenders for the construction of a metro depot at Dongri Village on Metro 9 (connecting Dahisar- Mira Bhayandar) at an estimated cost of INR 626 Crore. The project is scheduled to be completed within 52 months of commencement.
The upcoming depot will be developed across an anticipated 59.7 Acres of land parcel on the government-owned plot at Dongri Village near Bhayander. It will have 40 stabling lines and will cater to Metro 9 as well as Metro 7A (running between Andheri East & Terminal 2 Airport).
