The Southern Railway is redeveloping the Thiruvananthapuram Railway Station in Kerala to create a world-class transport hub with multi-modal connectivity. The design inspiration is drawn from regional art and culture.
This ambitious project involves constructing station buildings on the North Station Block with additional commercial and office floors. Simultaneously, developments are planned for the South Station Block, incorporating multi-level car parking on the south side comprising a ground floor and two upper floors.
The land area covered by the project is 31.20 Acres, with a total built-up area of 982,723 SqFt. The estimated construction cost of the project is INR 439 Crore. Design Forum International is serving as the DPR, Masterplanning consultant for this redevelopment project.
