526 INR-Crore Mother Dairy plant foundation stone to be laid during Agrovision

Union Minister, Nitin Gadkari, on Friday, October 27, announced the foundation stone for the manufacturing plant of the Mother Dairy would be laid on November 24, during the inaugural ceremony of Agrovision

The manufacturing plant will be developed in phase II of the Butibori Industrial estate over nearly 25 acres of land parcel. Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) has granted a sum of approximately 520 INR-Crore for the development. The plant will produce over 30 lakh litres of milk and related products and supply them across India. The government envisions creating 500 direct and more than 2500 indirect job opportunities through this project.

The Union Minister also announced several other projects on the same day – 

  • A 5-star hotel will be developed near the venue of the convention centre accommodating guests from neighbouring states and abroad. Ar. Habib Khan will design the facility.
  • A plant to produce Crude petrol to be used in vehicles from waste plastic will be inaugurated next month.
