Odisha Cabinet gives nod for construction of Gopalpur Utility Corridor

The Odisha cabinet, on Tuesday, December 05, approved the construction of a Utility Corridor connecting the Gopalpur port and TATA Steel Industrial Park worth an estimated cost of 128.88 INR Crore. The cost includes construction, maintenance over the defect liability period of 5 years, operation, and maintenance for over 10 years.

The project will be based on EPC mode with IDCO (Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation), Odisha, as the executing agency. The EPC contractor will be responsible for detailed design, engineering, construction, and O&M for 10 years.

The scope of work includes – site survey, detailed design, construction of road, sleepers for utility pipeline, sleeper base, internal and external infrastructure works, flyover over PWD road, pump house with crane facility, fire fighting works, stormwater drain, soil retaining structure, cable trench, SFRC compound wall, landscaping, high mast lights etc.

The project will provide logistics facilities for existing and upcoming industries in the Gopalpur Industrial Park. It aims to provide seamless and effective operational linkages between TATA Steel Industrial Park and Gopalpur Port.
