Panasonic to invest another INR 300 Crore in Andhra facility by 2026

Panasonic Electric Works India (PEWIN) is planning to invest an additional INR 300 Crore to expand its production capacity at its Sri City unit in Andhra Pradesh. The Japanese company intends to utilize this facility for exports, with a primary focus on targeting the Middle East and African markets.

As part of the first project phase, the company has already invested INR 300 Crore, and it is scheduled to invest an additional INR 300 Crore by 2026. 

Currently, the company operates plants in Daman and Haridwar, with an overall production capacity of 62 Crore pieces per year. This capacity is set to increase to 70 Crore by 2025 and further to 100 Crore by 2030.
