TCIL to invest INR 1,785 Cr to set up Manufacturing facility in Jharkhand

TCIL (Tinplate Company of India Ltd), a TATA Steel arm, announced investing an estimated INR 1,787 Crore to set up a manufacturing facility in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. The company has signed a MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with the Jharkhand Government for the same.

The facility, an expansion project, envisages the development of a 300,000 TPA (Tonnes Per Annum) manufacturing facility. It is anticipated to be operational by 2026 and will generate nearly 600 direct and indirect job opportunities.

Through this project, TCIL aims to enhance its manufacturing capacities with advanced technology and automation. It will also contribute to bolstering Jharkhand’s industrial growth in the domestic and export markets.
