CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy lays stone for Food Processing Units worth INR 1,100 Crore

Andhra Pradesh CM, Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, on Wednesday, November 29, launched and laid the foundation stone for a slew of food processing and industrial facilities worth 1,100 INR Crore. These projects are anticipated to generate 21,744 new job opportunities.

The CM launched:

  1. Edible Oil Refinery Unit by Gokul Agro Resources Pvt Ltd, worth an estimated investment of 250 INR Crore and 4.2 lakh metric tonne capacity. It will be located at Doruvula Palem in Muthukuru Mandal, SPS Nellore district.
  2. The works of the nutraceuticals unit of the RPS industries with an investment of 90 INR Crore.
  3. Common Facility Centers by the industries department with an estimated investment of 15 INR Crore at the printing cluster in Kakinada industrial estate.
  4. Sesame seeds Processing Unit by APFPS worth an estimated investment of 2.5 INR Crore at Peddiredlapalem of L. Kota Mandalam, Vizianagaram district.

He also launched 21 industrial development projects and factory complexes in 18 districts proposed by the industries department worth an investment of approximately 286 INR Crore.

Furthermore, the CM laid the foundation stone for several facilities attracting an estimated investment of 1,785 INR Crore. These include:

  1. Sigachi Industries Pharma Unit at Orvakal mega industrial hub, Kurnool, with an investment of 280 INR Crore.
  2. Blue Fin Enterprises food products unit at Konada, Vizianagaram, worth a projected investment of 13 INR Crore. It will produce potato, millet, and wheat-based food products.
  3. Tomato processing unit at Pathikonda, Kurnool, worth a proposed investment of 12 INR Crore. It will be run by the Pathikonda Farmers and Producers Association.
  4. Flatted Factory Complex (FFC) within the Pedagantyada Industrial Estate over 1.22 acres of land parcel. The estimated cost of this project is 7.57 INR Crore with 70% cost funded by the Central Government and 30% from the state Government.
