IPL Biologicals, an Agro Biological Company, on Wednesday, December 27, announced signing a pact with the Gujarat Government for developing a facility with an estimated investment of INR 400 Crore. The company has signed the MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission, the state government agency, for the same.
The scope of work involves the development of state-of-the-art biofertilizers, biopesticides, biofungicides, and microbial growth promoter facility in the region. It will be constructed in a phased manner, with Phase I focusing on the production of agricultural products, followed by probiotics and enzyme products. It is anticipated to be operational by March 2025 and generate nearly 500 direct and indirect job opportunities.

The facility aims to reduce chemical usage in the agribusiness sector and provide safe food production for the world. The project will contribute to sustainable agriculture, promote eco-friendly farming practices, and enhance soil & environmental health.
