Tata Power Arm Inks Power Delivery Pact with Force Motors

TATA Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL), on Wednesday, December 13, announced that it has entered into a PDA (Power Delivery Agreement) with two Firodia Group Companies – Force Motors Ltd and Jaya Hind Industries Pvt Ltd to set up a 13.2 MW group captive solar plant. TATA Power will supply green power to the Firodia Group Companies for 25 years under the Group Captive Scheme.

The solar plant will be developed in Achegaon of Maharashtra, having a capacity of 13.2 MW of AC (Alternative Current), and will generate approximately 2.9 Crore units of power annually. The plant is anticipated to reduce Carbon emissions by 21,200 MTPA (Metric Tonnes Per Annum) and is scheduled to be completed within 12 months of signing the PDA.

As per the PDA signed, Force Motors will consume 1.36 Crore units of power per year and utilize 6.2 MW of AC power. Meanwhile, Jaya Hind Industries will consume 1.54 Crore units annually and utilize approximately 7 MW of AC power. The TATA Power subsidiary, TPREL, will oversee the development, management, and maintenance of the proposed plant.
