Web Werks-Iron Mountain JV to Invest 1,800 INR-Crore to set up two new data centers in Chennai

The joint venture between Web Werks and Iron Mountain will be investing 1800 INR-Crore for setting up two data centers in Chennai, India. The JV company has acquired 4 acres of land parcel in Ambattur and is planning on housing two data centers CHE-1 and CHE-2, as announced by Nikhil Rathi, CEO of Web Werks.

This will be Web Werks’ 8th data center in India and the first facility in Chennai. Together with the NYSE-listed Iron Mountain, the JV‘s two new data centers will support 36 MW of IT load.

Nikhil Rathi also mentioned that the motto of these data centers is to ensure business efficiency standards. The project is estimated to be completed by mid-2025.
