Overview of the Project:
The Maryada Purushottam Shriram International Airport, also known as Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, Ayodhya Dham, serves the twin cities of Ayodhya and Faizabad in Uttar Pradesh. The airport’s first phase was inaugurated in December 2023, while AAI (Airports Authority India) has proposed to implement the development of Phase II.
The Maryada Purushottam Shriram International Airport will be developed over an anticipated 500 Acres of land parcel and will have a construction area of approximately 538,196 SqFt. It will be developed at an estimated construction cost of INR 889 Crore.
The scope of work involves the construction of a new Terminal Building occupying nearly 30,000 SqM (catering to 3,200 passengers), Ancillary Buildings, Car Parking, City-side development & other associated works at Ayodhya Airport. Moreover, the runway length will be extended from 2,200M to 3,125M and the apron will be expanded to accommodate 8 narrow-body aircraft.
Creative Group serves as the design architect for this project which is anticipated to be completed within three years of commencement.
