Bengaluru Suburban Railway Project construction: SWR allocates over 114 Acres of land for corridor-4

The South Western Railway (SWR) has taken a significant step toward enhancing connectivity in the Bengaluru suburban region. The authority allocated 114.472 Acres of land to the Rail Infrastructure Development Company-Karnataka Limited (K-RIDE) for the construction of Corridor-4 of the Bengaluru Suburban Railway Project (BSRP), on Tuesday, April 2.

Corridor-4 of BSRP connects Heelalige with Rajanukunte. It is poised to boost connectivity across the suburban region of Bangalore and is expected to be completed by December 2027.

Additionally, SWR signed a lease agreement for revised railway land, reducing it from 157.07 Acres to 85.707 Acres for Corridor-2 (Mallige Line). These developments aim to expedite the project and improve transportation options for the people of Bengaluru.
