PM Modi lays foundation stone of development projects worth INR 5000 Crore in Jodhpur

On Thursday, October 5, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone and inaugurated several development projects valued at approximately INR 5,000 Crore in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.

Additionally, PM Modi commenced two new train services in Rajasthan: the Runicha Express, connecting Jaisalmer to Delhi, and a heritage train linking Marwar Junction to Khambli Ghat. He also dedicated two other rail projects to the nation: the doubling of the 145 km long ‘Degana-Rai Ka Bagh’ rail line and the 58 km long ‘Degana-Kuchaman City’ rail line.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi initiated several projects including – 

A 350-bed Trauma Centre and Critical Care Hospital Block at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Jodhpur.

Seven Critical Care Blocks under the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM) to be developed across Rajasthan.

The foundation stone laying for the state-of-the-art New Terminal Building at Jodhpur Airport, with a total cost of INR 480 Crore.

Dedication of the Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur campus to the nation, built at a cost exceeding INR 1,135 Crore.

Initiating infrastructure upgrades at the Central University of Rajasthan, including a central instrumentation laboratory, staff quarters, and a yoga & sports sciences building. Additionally, laying the foundation stone for the Central Library, a 600-capacity Hostel, and a dining facility for students.

Laying the foundation stone for multiple road development projects, with a total cost of approximately INR 1,475 crore.
